Registration Preparation 

You will need the following in order to register:

  • Skate Canada Number

  • Coach Information

  • Ice Credits

  • Tests passed

  • Registration must be accompanied with payment.

What you need to know before registering:

​1. First registration priority is given to ASC skaters with accounts in good standing. All other applications are considered first-come, first-served.

 

2. Before you submit your registration, confirm lesson bookings with your coach. However skater may skate sessions without a coach. 

 

3. Skaters are not permitted to sell or trade sessions.

 

4. For private session skaters, there are music playing responsibilities - see "Music Playing" section

 

5. Skaters who purchase private sessions that include EMI must be aware that participation in EMI is strongly encouraged.

 

6. Late registrations will be accepted. However, the rates will not be pro-rated until three weeks into the season.

Out-of-club Coaches please contact our Club Pro-Liaisons, Teresa Guynup by email for permission to coach on our club sessions.

Fees, Payment, Rules

Fees

A $150 late registration fee will be charged for existing members registering after the final set registration date. No exception.

 

​A $45 Skate Canada Fee.

​

A $30.00 music commitment fee is charged to all private skaters, should you fulfill your commitment a credit will be issued to your skater account.​

Payment Info.

We now accept Interact E-transfer, Visa, Master card and American Express. Registration is not considered complete until full payment has been made.

We accept cheques payable to 'Abbotsford Skating Club'.

Rules & Regulations

To respect our skaters, we ask that parents ensure any siblings or friends at the rink refrain from distracting activities in the stands.

​

​All skaters MUST be registered before your sessions begin. You will not be allowed on the ice if we have not received your registration and payment.

​

"No video filming is to be done during Abbotsford Skating Club sessions unless the filming is done by a Skate Canada coach, under the direction of the skater's coach or with approval from an ASC club coach."

KidSport

KidSport is a community based sport-funding program that provides grants for children 18 and under to participate in a sport season of their choice. There are 40 community chapters in BC and over 175 chapters across Canada. With the help from dedicated corporate partners, KidSport works to fulfill its mission of eliminating the financial barriers to sport participation, ‘So ALL Kids Can Play!’

Jumpstart Program

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charitable program that helps financially disadvantaged kids participate in organized sport and recreation.

Fast Facts:

As little as $200 can provide a child a season of sport

  • KidSport was established by Sport BC in 1993

  • Provides grants for financially disadvantaged children under 18 years old, to participate in an organized amateur sport

  • Over 175 chapters across Canada

  • There are approximately 300 volunteers operating over 35 community chapters in BC

  • There are 62 sports in BC that qualify for KidSport grants

  • There are 1.2 million children living in BC families

  • There are 650,000 people who participate, volunteer, or officiate in organized sport in BC

We help cover registration, equipment and/or transportation costs.

​

  • Canadian Tire Jumpstart helps financially disadvantaged kids ranging in age from 4 to 18.

  • Potential Canadian Tire Jumpstart program recipients are selected through local chapters.
